European Rugs
Like every other tradition and culture in history which specializes in creative craft and artistry, European culture has its own place and the antique European rugs stand proof to this claim. The artisans in the continent started weaving carpets during the thirteenth century at first and later flourished throughout the world during the eighteenth century. Many of the design motifs from antique rugs found in the oriental period inspired these European carpets.
